About the Artist

Linda Carey received her BFA and MFA from the University of Arizona in Tucson. She worked as a graphic designer and illustrator for 20 years in addition to her work as a fine artist. She taught drawing and painting at the Columbus College of Art & Design, and was Visiting Professor of Drawing at the College of William and Mary for the past two years. Her primary medium is pastel, and her motifs vary from landscape to still-life and figurative work. Her pastels have been shown nationally in gallery, juried and invitational exhibitions and are in numerous private collections.
