Internships

Since most internships do not entail an economic research project for which academic credit can be given, the Economics Department does not have a formal internship program. However, the Economics Department would support a for-credit internship when it involves a formal project resulting in a research paper written upon completion of the internship. A student wishing to receive such credit must conduct the research under the supervision of a professor in the department who approves the proposed project well in advance of the internship experience and who evaluates the completed research paper.
